Welcome to findtaskers.com (the "Platform"). By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and findtaskers.com.

2. Services Overview

findtaskers.com is a marketplace that connects:

Posters: Individuals or entities needing a task performed.
Taskers: Individuals or entities offering to perform services. The Platform acts solely as a venue to facilitate these connections and does not perform the tasks itself.

3. User Accounts

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Accuracy: You agree to provide truthful and accurate information during registration.
Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
ID Verification: Taskers may voluntarily submit to identity verification to receive a verified badge on their profile. The verification process requires the Tasker to submit three photographs: a clear image of the front of their South African ID document, a clear image of the back of their ID document, and a photograph of themselves holding their ID next to their face. These images are reviewed by a member of the findtaskers team — not an automated system — who confirms that the ID appears genuine and matches the person in the photo. Verification is granted at the sole discretion of findtaskers. Submitting false documents, someone else's ID, or manipulated images is a serious violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination and referral to the relevant authorities. findtaskers does not conduct criminal background checks — verification confirms identity only and does not constitute an endorsement or character clearance of any kind.

4. Posting and Bidding

Postings: Posters must describe tasks accurately. Postings must not involve illegal activities, hazardous materials, or sexual services.
Offers: Taskers may submit offers to complete a task. An offer is a binding commitment to perform the task for the specified price.
Contract: A "Task Contract" is formed directly between the Poster and the Tasker once the Poster accepts an offer.

5. Financial Terms & Escrow

Escrow Operator: All escrow, payment processing, and fund-holding services on findtaskers are provided by TradeSafe (Pty) Ltd ("TradeSafe"), a licensed South African financial services provider. findtaskers does not hold, process, or disburse funds directly. By using the payment features of this Platform, you also agree to TradeSafe’s own terms of service, which govern the handling of your funds.
Escrow System: Upon acceptance of an offer, the Poster is redirected to TradeSafe’s secure checkout to deposit the full agreed amount. Funds are held by TradeSafe in escrow — not by findtaskers.
Payment Release: Funds are held in escrow by TradeSafe until the Poster marks the task as "Completed." Once confirmed, TradeSafe releases funds to the Tasker’s registered bank account, minus applicable fees.
Service Fees: To maintain the platform, findtaskers.com charges a 10% Service Fee to both parties. This fee is non-refundable. TradeSafe may also deduct its own processing fee from the platform’s share of the transaction.
- Poster Fee: 10% added to the task total at checkout.
- Tasker Fee: 10% deducted from the final payout.
Bank Details: To receive payment, Taskers must register their bank account details with TradeSafe via the findtaskers profile settings. This information is held and verified by TradeSafe, not by findtaskers.

5a. Third-Party Payment Provider Disclosure

findtaskers integrates with TradeSafe (Pty) Ltd as its exclusive escrow and payment processing partner. TradeSafe operates independently of findtaskers and is solely responsible for the security, custody, and disbursement of funds held in escrow. findtaskers is not liable for any loss, delay, or error arising from TradeSafe's services. In the event of a payment dispute with TradeSafe directly, users may contact TradeSafe at www.tradesafe.co.za. findtaskers will cooperate with any reasonable investigation but does not guarantee outcomes of disputes handled by TradeSafe.

6. Cancellations and Disputes

Cancellations Before Payment: A Poster may cancel a task at any time before an offer is accepted and payment is made, at no cost.
Cancellations After Payment: Once payment is held in escrow, a Poster may submit a cancellation request through the platform. The Tasker will be notified and must confirm or decline the request. Cancellation only proceeds if the Tasker confirms. If confirmed, funds are returned to the Poster minus the non-refundable 10% platform fee. If the Tasker declines, the task continues as normal.
Dispute Resolution: If a Poster refuses to mark a task as complete, or a Tasker fails to deliver, findtaskers.com may offer a dispute mediation service. The platform reserves the final right to determine the distribution of escrowed funds based on evidence provided by both parties.

7. Conduct and Safety

Off-Platform Payments: Circumventing the platform’s escrow system to avoid fees is strictly prohibited and may lead to permanent account suspension.
Reviews: Users may rate each other. Reviews must be honest and free of hate speech or harassment.

7a. Personal Safety — User Responsibility

findtaskers provides tools to help build trust between users — including ID verification, escrow payments, and a verified review system. However, the Platform does not guarantee the personal safety of any user during the performance of a task.

The safety and security of all parties involved in a task — particularly in-person tasks — is the sole responsibility of those individuals. Users are strongly advised to:

Meet in public places for initial consultations where possible.
Inform a trusted person of the task location, time, and the other party’s details before proceeding.
Trust your instincts — if something feels unsafe, do not proceed.
Check a user’s profile, verification status, and reviews before engaging.

findtaskers does not conduct criminal background checks and makes no warranties regarding the character, conduct, or trustworthiness of any user. ID verification confirms identity only and does not constitute an endorsement or clearance of any kind. Users engage with one another entirely at their own risk, and findtaskers shall not be held liable for any harm, loss, or injury arising from interactions facilitated through the Platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

findtaskers.com is not an employer. We are not liable for:

The quality, timing, or legality of the tasks performed.
Any personal injury, harm, or property damage resulting from a task or interaction between users.
Disputes between Users, though we provide mediation tools.
Any reliance placed on a user’s ID verification status, reviews, or profile information.

9. Taxes

Taskers are independent contractors and are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on earnings made through the platform.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or harms the integrity of the marketplace.
